If you’re looking to put your process control engineering experience to excellent use and broaden your already impressive technical and professional skills, here’s your chance.
Where you fit in
Shell’s downstream manufacturing site at Pernis, Rotterdam is a joint oil refinery and chemicals manufacturing site that produces a broad range of every day products that range from paints to petrol. A great place for engineers who want to deepen and widen their technical skills, you’ll find plenty of learning and development opportunities in our complex and diverse organisation.
What’s the role?
You’ll be joining the Process Control and Systems team that’s responsible for the Run & Maintain support of all control and safeguarding systems, Process Control Domain IT Security and all (Advanced) Process Control applications. Through your understanding of the process (e.g. catcracking, distilling, …) your challenge will be to analyse, optimise and improve our industrial plant process control solutions to meet business requirements.
We’ll also rely on you to give us your expertise on translating those requirements into industrial application solutions and interact with personnel throughout the organisation and engineering contractors, both as an individual and in a team environment.
Along the way, you’ll liaise with colleagues in many different areas of the business. Operations, unit technologists, process engineers, instrument technicians, DCS system engineers and our scheduling and economics department – you’ll engage with them all as together you come up with the answers to some tricky process control challenges.
